Telix and DuChemBio Announce Korean Partnership for Advanced Prostate Cancer Imaging

Melbourne (Australia) and Seoul (South Korea) – 3[rd] December 2020 . Telix Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASX: TLX, ‘Telix’, the ‘Company’) today announces it has entered into a commercialisation and partnership agreement with DuChemBio Co, Ltd. (DuChemBio), the leading South Korean radiopharmaceutical company, for Telix’s prostate cancer imaging product TLX591-CDx ([68] GaPSMA-11).

DuChemBio has the largest radiopharmaceutical manufacturing network serving the field of Nuclear Medicine in Korea. Telix has granted exclusive rights to DuChemBio to commercialise TLX591-CDx for prostate cancer imaging in South Korea. The parties will cooperate to attain a marketing authorisation for the product from the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS).

DuChemBio CEO Jongwoo Kim stated “Through the years, DuChemBio has contributed to the diagnosis and treatment of patients in Korea across a range of therapy areas, commencing in 2012 with the introduction of Korea's first new radiopharmaceutical, FP-CIT for the diagnosis of Parkinson's disease. Now, we look forward to introducing Telix’s state-of-the-art PSMA imaging to the Korean market for men with prostate cancer. We believe there is growing demand for PSMA imaging across the prostate cancer disease spectrum in Korea, and we are pleased to partner with Telix to be one of the first markets in Asia to offer PSMA imaging to patients in need.”

About TLX591-CDx

TLX591-CDx (kit for the preparation of[68] Ga-PSMA-11) is a proprietary formulation of PSMA-HBEDCC (PSMA-11), a novel small molecule agent targeting prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), originally developed by the Heidelberg group of the Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum (German Cancer Research Center, DKFZ).[1] The ‘cold kit’ format of TLX591-CDx enables rapid radiolabelling at room temperature with high radiochemical purity and production consistency, ideally suited for the radiopharmacy setting.[2]
