European Leadership Changes and Appointment of VP Sales and Marketing, EMEA
Melbourne (Australia) – 21[st] February 2020. Telix Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASX: TLX, “Telix”, the “Company”) today announces that Ms Odile Jaume will be stepping down from her position of Telix EU President. Ms Jaume will continue in an advisory capacity to Telix as it completes the acquisition and regulatory approvals for its Belgian radiopharmaceutical manufacturing facility (Seneffe, Belgium).
Mr Ludo Wouters, Vice President of Corporate Development for Telix Europe (and Managing Director of ANMI SA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Telix) will serve as Interim President of Telix’s European operations while the Company undertakes a comprehensive search and evaluation for a replacement executive appointment, including review of internal candidates. The Company expects to appoint a new President of its European business well in advance of the European commercial launch of its first product TLX591-CDx ([68] Ga-PSMA) for prostate cancer imaging, later this year (subject to regulatory approvals).
CEO Dr Chris Behrenbruch said, “I would like to take the opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to Odile for her commitment and dedication to the building of a significant European operation. She was the first team member on the ground in Europe and under her excellent leadership, the Telix EU team has grown to over 30 people and over 100 commercial and technical relationships. Through this growth, the Company’s European activity has moved considerably beyond business development and relationship management, hence the need for more operationally focused leadership at the helm. I appreciate Odile’s continuing support of the Company, which is a tribute to her professionalism and her commitment to bringing to market innovative new cancer products.”
Telix is also pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Christian Davis to the position of Vice President Sales and Marketing, EMEA. He brings to Telix over 20 years of medical sales and marketing experience in oncology, radiology and nuclear medicine in over 30 countries in Europe and MENA. Mr Davis joins Telix from leading Interventional Oncology company Sirtex Medical, where he spent 12 years leading Sirtex’s European sales organisation prior to Sirtex’s AUD$1.9B acquisition by CDH Investments and China Grand Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Holdings Limited. Prior to Sirtex, he spent 10 years working in senior sales and marketing roles with Terumo. Mr Davis will commence with Telix on 1[st] April 2020.
Dr Chris Behrenbruch stated, “On behalf of the Telix team, I’d like to warmly welcome Christian and I am delighted we have been able to attract a commercial leader of such high calibre to our organisation. Christian is known for his dedication to improving the lives of patients through his efforts to increase awareness and access to life changing medical products. He is highly regarded by key opinion leaders for his professionalism and work ethic, and will no doubt make a positive impact to our organisation. 2020 will be a transformative year for our business in Europe and I look forward building Telix’s leadership bench strength, as we have done across the business.”
