Leader in prostate cancer imaging Prof. Frederik L. Giesel joins Scientific Advisory Board

Melbourne (Australia) – 9[th] March 2020. Telix Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASX: TLX, ‘Telix’, the ‘Company’) is pleased to announce that Professor Dr. Frederik L. Giesel, MD, MBA has joined Telix’s Scientific Advisory Board (SAB). As a member of Telix’s SAB, Prof. Giesel will advise Telix in relation to its R&D and clinical development activities spanning the Company’s prostate cancer, kidney cancer and glioblastoma (brain cancer) programs.

Prof. Giesel, who is Vice Chair in the Department of Nuclear Medicine at the University of Heidelberg (Germany) is a leader in the field of cancer imaging and the use of positron emission tomography (PET) for the evaluation of prostate cancer. Prof. Giesel is currently the lead investigator on the German Cancer Research Centre’s multicentre study of PET imaging using[68] Ga-PSMA-11 in newly diagnosed prostate cancer patients at high risk for metastasis, a group commonly referred to as ‘high risk men’.[1]
