Signing of the contract on setting up and operation of a highway and motorway free-flow multi-lane e-tolling system

Pursuant to provisions of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange Rules and applicable legislation, Telekom Slovenije, d.d, Cigaletova 15, Ljubljana, herewith informs the public, that today, on 6 September, the consortium of companies Telekom Slovenije, d.d. and Q-Free ASA, and DARS d.d. as the contracting authority signed the Agreement on Setting Up and Operation of a Highways and Motorway Free-Flow Multi-Lane E-tolling System.

The company DARS d.d. published a public tender no. JN4695/2015 at its public procurement portal on 13 July 2015, and a tender no. 2015/S 135-249619 at TED on 16 July 2015, for the purpose of selecting a contractor by open procedure pursuant to the provision of Article 25 of the Public Procurement Act (ZJN-2) for setting up and operation of free-flow multi-layer e-tolling system for the highway and motorway traffic. On the basis of the public tender, DARS d.d. selected the offering by Telekom Slovenije, d.d. and Q-Free ASA consortium as the best-value-for-money tender offering.

The total value of the contract works is EUR 90,566,754.08 excluding VAT or EUR 110,491,439.98 with VAT, which includes the setting up of the electronic tolling system for cargo vehicles and the provision of technical operation of the established system for the period of 10 years. In compliance with the contract, the contracting authority and the contractor may agree to extend the established system operation period for a maximum of 3 years following the required 10-year period. The period for establishing the system operation, which will commence after submitting the necessary documentation for a validity of the agreement and the commencement of the works (bank guarantee for a good implementation of the works and insurance), is one year.

Telekom Slovenije, d.d. and Q-Free ASA will set up the e-tolling system by means of microwave technology.

The announcement will also be available at the company website (www.telekom.si) for a period of at least 5 years.
