Telekom Slovenije Group operating results in the first half of 2017

Pursuant to the first paragraph of Article 17 of Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 April 2014 on market abuse (market abuse regulation) and repealing Directive 2003/6/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council and Commission Directives 2003/124/EC, 2003/125/EC and 2004/72/EC, Article 136 of the Financial Instruments Market Act (ZTFI), the Ljubljana Stock Exchange Rules and valid legislation, Telekom Slovenije d.d., Cigaletova 15, Ljubljana, hereby publishes the following announcement:

At its 4th ordinary session held on Wednesday, 26 July 2017, the Supervisory Board of Telekom Slovenije d.d. reviewed the Unaudited Business Report of the Telekom Slovenije Group and Telekom Slovenije d.d. for the period January – June 2017.

In the first six months of this year, the Telekom Slovenije Group generated net sales revenues of EUR 367.1 million, an increase of 6% relative to the same period last year. The Group's operating revenues totalled EUR 370.1 million, an increase of 5% or EUR 18.6 million over the revenues generated in the first half of 2016. Revenues this year are higher primarily due to increased revenues on the wholesale market and increased revenues from IT services. The Telekom Slovenije Group succeeded in making up for lower revenues from classical fixed telephony and mobile services, where subscribers and prepaid customers are moving into bundled packages and new mobile packages which include several mobile services at a lower price.

The Telekom Slovenije Group generated EBITDA of EUR 106.8 million during the first six months of 2017, 2% higher than the same period last year, and net profits of EUR 24.3 million, an increase of EUR 7.1 million or 41% on the same period last year.

Telekom Slovenije d.d. also achieved higher revenues in comparison with last year, generating EUR 334.0 million in net sales revenues during the first six months of 2017, 5% higher than the same period last year, and operating revenues of EUR 336.0 million, also 5% higher than the same period last year. Through investments in modernisation and network development, for which Telekom Slovenije d.d. earmarked EUR 55.6 million in the first half of 2017, and the Group EUR 62.0 million, the Group also increased its number of fixed broadband connections. The number of fixed broadband connections in the first six months of the year was up 2% relative to the end of 2016.
