The Board of Directors of Telefónica, at its meeting held today, unanimously resolved, following a favorable report from the Nominating, Compensation and Corporate Governance Committee, to appoint, by co-optation, Mr. Olayan Alwetaid as Proprietary Director to the Board of Directors of Telefónica, nominated by the shareholder Green Bridge Investment Company SCS / Stc Group.

The appointment of Mr. Olayan Alwetaid as Director of Telefónica fills the existing vacancy on the Board of Directors after the passing of the Vice Chairman, Mr. José Javier Echenique Landiríbar.
