CONTRACT FOR THE RAILWAY WORK EXECUTION IN BRAZIL, IN THE AMOUNT OF 66.4 MILLION EUROS

"TEIXEIRA DUARTE, S.A." informs that its 100% indirect subsidiary, "EMPA, S.A. Serviços de Engenharia" and its 60% indirect subsidiary "SOMAFEL - Obras Ferroviárias e Marítimas, Ltda.", both companies under Brazilian law, today received the signed copy of the contract, dated 26th July, 2016, entered into with VALE, S.A. for carrying out in Brazil of a "Complete undertaking for the construction of civil works, drainage, common as well as special works along the route, earthwork and signalling infrastructure, referring to the implementation of infrastructure for the duplications of segments 44-45, 45-46 semi, 45- 46 addition, renovation of yard 46, 46-47 semi and 46-47 addition of the expansion of the EFC - Carajás Railway, part of North Logistics Training Programme (CLN) S11D, distributed along the railway line in the states of Maranhão and Pará, plus supplying materials," on a full contract basis.

The deadline for execution of the work is 759 days from 26th July, 2016 and the total value of the contract of R\$ 239,649,533.06 (two hundred and thirty nine million, six hundred and forty five thousand five hundred and thirty three Brazilian Reais and six cents), corresponds at the date of the contract, to the equivalent of € 66,421,710.94 (sixty six million, four hundred and twenty one thousand, seven hundred and ten euros and ninety-four cents).
