Teck Notes Offering Closes
Vancouver – Teck Resources Limited (TSX: TCK.A and TCK.B, NYSE: TCK) announced today that its previously announced public offering of US$500 million aggregate principal amount of 4.500% notes due 2021 and US$200 million aggregate principal amount of 6.000% notes due 2040 has closed.
As a consequence of the closing of the notes offering, Teck expects to promptly accept for purchase approximately 54.05%, or US$293 million aggregate principal amount, of its 10.750% senior secured notes due 2019 that were tendered at or prior to the early tender date for its concurrent tender offer for those notes.
The notes were offered via an underwritten public offering in the United States pursuant to an effective shelf registration statement on Form F-9 filed with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission and in Canada on a private placement basis.
