Birdstep Technology ASA announces corporate name change to Techstep ASA

In accordance with the agreement between Birdstep Technology

ASA (the Company) and Smith Micro Software, Inc. regarding

the Company's sale of 100% of the shares in the subsidiary

Birdstep Technology AB to Smith Micro Software, Inc, the

Company today has registered its name change to Techstep ASA.

On the Extraordinary General Meeting dated 31 March 2016, it

was resolved that the Company´s corporate name should be

changed so that it no longer uses the terms "Birdstep", "Bird

Step" or any similar name. By reason of the above, the

resolution to change the corporate name to Techstep was

passed by the Annual General Meeting on 29 April 2016.

As of today, the Company´s corporate name Techstep ASA has

been registered in the Company Registry (Foretaksregisteret).

The Company has been assigned the ticker TECH by the Oslo

Stock Exchange, however, the name change and new ticker will

not be registered and processed in the Oslo Stock Exchange

system until earliest two days after the registration with

the Company Registry.
