Sprint extends support contract with Birdstep Technology through 2016

As announced Nov 2, Tier1 Mobile Operator Sprint will eliminate its Sprint Connection

Optimizer branded product, which is based upon Birdstep's SmartSELECT product. However,

Birdstep Technology today announced that Sprint extended its support contract for Birdstep´s

SmartSELECT product through 2016. The contract will cover support for the existing

deployment of Birdstep's SmartSELECT products.

"This contract is for support only but we are delighted to continue our cooperation with Sprint,

even though no new deployments are currently planned." said Lonnie Schilling, CEO Birdstep
