Birdstep signs EasyConnect agreement with Leading Telecom Vendor
(Oslo, January 3, 2011) Birdstep Technology ASA has
signed an agreement with Ericsson Telecom SA de CV to
provide EasyConnect to a leading Mobile Operator in
Latin America.
Birdstep Technology, a leading provider of wireless
connectivity and security software, has signed an
exclusive agreement with Ericsson to provide
EasyConnect to a leading Mobile Operator in Latin
America for their mobile broadband product in the
region. Birdstep estimates the revenue to be up to
NOK 7 million over 24 months.
EasyConnect will be customized for the Latin American
mobile operator's local market. The software will be
pre-installed on USB mobile broadband devices for pre-
paid & post-paid solutions to be sold through both
direct and indirect sales channels.
EasyConnect is an advanced and customizable connection
management software solution for installation on USB
devices, providing users with an improved mobile
broadband user experience.
