Birdstep receives second Orbyte upgrade order from major European mobile operator

(Stockholm, October 21, 2010) Birdstep Technology has

received an Orbyte upgrade order from a major European

mobile operator. This is the second order following

the first that was announced 18th of October. The

purchase order value is NOK 1.4 million. The total

value of both orders together is NOK 2.8 million.

The order comprises the Orbyte 4G-edition and

additional 90 access gateways OAG1200 that will be

delivered during first quarter 2011. This solution

will provide a data service to consumers with a

quality and capacity similar to LTE. The Orbyte

4G-edition WiFi solution will be used to off-load the

3G and LTE networks for bundled user subscriptions.
