SmithMicro acquires wholly owned subsidiary Birdstep Technology AB

Birdstep Technology ASA ("BIRD") and Smith Micro

International Inc ("SMSI") has on March 8 entered into

an agreement to sell its wholly owned subsidiary

Birstep Technology AB to SMSI. Reference is made to

stock exchange announcement from SMSI on NASDAQ. BIRD

will issue a stock exchange announcement shortly with

further information on the sale and certain other

matters of relevance.

The trading will be suspended until additional

information is published.
