Birdstep Announces Election of Anna Bernsten to the Board of Directors

(Oslo, November 11, 2010) Birdstep Technology, a leading provider of wireless connectivity software, today announced the election of Anna Malm Bernsten to Birdstep's Board of Directors.

Anna brings more than 25 years of international marketing and sales experience. She has held leading management positions in large global companies (Pharmacia, ASSA ABLOY and Baxter) as well as smaller innovative companies (Carmeda, Medivir and Aerocrine). Her latest position was as Chief Marketing Officer at GE Healthcare Life Sciences.

Anna joined Birdstep's Board just before the company's third quarter results were announced. When comparing Q3 to Q2, Birdstep delivered underlying growth of 15% in its EasyConnect segment, NOK 6.2 million improvement in operating cash flow and key customer contract wins paving the way for the company's expansion.

Presently Anna runs her own consultancy company focusing on strategic marketing, business development, communication and branding. Her current board positions include Artimplant AB, Biophausia AB, Cellvision AB, AB Fagerhult, Medivir AB and Nolato AB, which are all listed on the OMX Nasdaq Stockholm.
