Railways steps up special services amid migrant crisis

FE BUREAU New Delhi, April 21

IN VIEW OF the rapidly growing coronavirus pandemic and migrant crisis, the Railways has stepped up operations of special trains, including mail/express trains, passenger trains and suburban trains, for the convenience of passengers.

At present, the Indian Railways is running 1,512 mail/express and festival specials, on an average per day, up from the 1,490 such services last week.

నాగర్కర్నూల్ జిల్లాలోని అ(మాబాద్లో ముసురు వర్షం పడింది. జోగులాంబ గద్వాల జిల్లాలోని ఉండవెళ్లి మండలంలోని నారాయణపురంలో పిడుగుపాటుకు ఎద్దు మృత్యువాత పడింది. రైతుకు గాయాలయ్యాయి. సూర్యాపేట జిల్షాలోని పలు మండలాల్లో సాయంత్రం వర్షం కురిసింది. మునగాల, అనంతగిరి మండలాల్లో ఈదురుగాలులతో కూడిన వర్షం పడింది. కోదాడ మండల వ్యాప్తంగా వర్షం పడింది. పాలకవీడు మండలంలోని ఈదురు గాలులతో కూడిన వర్షం పడింది. గుడుగుంట్లపాలెం, శూన్యపహాడ్, జాన్పహాడ్ నాగిరెడ్డిగూడెం, బొత్తలపాలెం, రాయినిపాలెం (గామాల వద్ద ఐకేపీ కేంద్రాల్లో ఉన్న ధాన్యపు రాశులు తడిచిపోయాయి. అలింగాపురం (గామంలో పీఏసీఎస్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన కొనుగోలు కేంద్రంలో రాశులుగా పోసిన ధాన్యం తడిసింది. చివ్వెంల మండలం మొగ్గయ్యగూడెం ఆవాస (పాంతమైన రోళ్లబండతండాలో పిడుగు పడి రైతు ధరావత్ హరిచం $(50)$ (పాణం కోల్చోయాడు. పెన్పహాడ్ మండలం అనంతారంలో ఈదురు గాలులకు తాటిచెట్టు కూలి గేదె మృత్యువాత పడింది.

ఆసిఫాబాద్ జిల్లాలో అకాల వర్షం జనజీవనాన్ని అతలాకుతలం చేసింది. మధ్యాహ్నం ఒక్కసారిగా బలమైన గాలులతో కూడిన వర్షం పడింది. దహెగాం మండలంలో చాలాచోట్ల ఇంటి పైకప్పులు లేచిపోగా, చేట్లు విరిగి పడ్డాయి.

అకాల వర్షం.. రైతులకు కంటిమీద కునుకు లేకుండా చేస్తాంది. బుధవారం కూడా భాలీ ఈదురు గాలులతో కూడిన వర్వంలో వడగంద్యు పడ్డాయి. ధాన్యం తడిసి ముద్దయింది. సూర్యాపేటలో పిడుగుపాటుకు రైతు ప్రాణం కోల్యోయాడు. ప్రభుత్వ కొనుగోళ్లలో అలస్యం రైతుల కొంప ముంచుతోంది. నెల రోజులుగా కల్లాల్లో ధాన్యాన్ని పెట్టి ఎదురు చూస్తున్న రైతులను వర్వం ఉరుకులు పరుగులు పెట్టిస్తాంది.

గాలులతో పాటు వడగండ్లు పడ్డాయి. పలుచోట్ల కల్లాల్లో ఉన్న వరి ధాన్యం తడిసి ముద్దెంది. ఒక్కసారిగా వడగండ్లు, గాలి, వానతో భారీ వర్షం కురవడంతో (పజలు తీవ్ర నష్టాన్ని చవిచూశారు. కౌటాల, పెంచికట్పేట్ మండలాల్హోనూ వర్వం పడింది. ధనోర్హెట్టిలో చెట్లతో పాటు విద్యుత్ స్తంభం విరిగి పడింది. మొక్కజొన్న పంట నేల కొరగడంతో రైతులకు నష్టం వాటిల్లింది.

ఉమ్మడి ఖమ్మం జిల్లాలో పలు మండలాల్లో సాయంత్రం మబ్బులు పట్టి భారీ ఈదురుగాలులతో సన్నటి చిరుజల్లులు పడటంతో అన్నదాతలు ఉరుకులు పరుగుపెట్టారు. కల్లాల్లో ఆరబోసిన పంటలపై పట్టాల కప్పుకొని జాగ్రత్త పడ్డాయి. దుమ్ముగూడెంలో తాటి చెట్లు మీద పిడుగుపడింది.

• రాష్ఠ్ర పునర్ విభజన చట్టంలో పేర్కొన్న విధంగా వెనుకబడిన [పాంతాల అభివృద్ధికి కేంద్రం... ఆర్థిక సాయాలను అందించాలి.
