AUSTRALIAN SECURITIES EXCHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT

Exploration Update $-19^{th}$ March 2007

NEW DRILLING CAMPAIGN TO EXPAND ON HIGH-GRADE HITS AT KEY S.A. EPITHERMAL GOLD-SILVER PROJECT

  • Drill testing epithermal gold-silver (lead-zinc) targets, including follow-up of high-grade intercepts
  • Focus is Parkinson Dam Project, 60km west of Port Augusta, S.A.

A new drilling campaign to further expand on high-grade intercepts at the Parkinson Dam goldsilver (lead-zinc) project 60 kilometres west of Port Augusta in SA, has been announced by 100% project owner, Tasman Resources NL (ASX code "TAS").

Tasman discovered epithermal-style mineralisation in the area in 2005, and has reported a number of significant medium- to high-grade intercepts from the initial drilling (e.g. 3m at 3.4g/tAu and 80g/t Ag downhole: 1.66m at 7.6% Pb, 10.5% Zn, 1.2g/t Au and 120g/t Ag downhole).

The Company announced today it had commenced a 2000m reverse circulation and diamond core drilling programme testing a range of targets including following up mineralisation intersected in the earlier drilling, as well as new targets based on the results of a combination of surface calcrete and rock chip sampling, geological modelling and geophysical data.

Drilling is expected to take about 6 weeks, with first assay results likely around 4-6 weeks after submission, subject to laboratory schedules.
