Further interim bridge funding at Smith Electric Vehicles Corp.

The Board of Tanfield announces that, Smith Electric Vehicles Corp. ("Smith"), a US company in which it has a 24% interest, has filed a Form D with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission reporting its receipt of $8.6m cash as part of its Series AA interim bridge funding. 

The further funding allows Smith to continue its exploration of financing options to deliver its strategy and execute the next phase of its business plan.
