RECOMMENCEMENT OF DRILLING AT SPRINGFIELD PROJECT
_____________
Talisman Mining Ltd (ASX: TLM ) is pleased to advise that drilling and field exploration activities at its 100%-owned Springfield Copper-Gold Project, located in the upper Gascoyne / Murchison region of Western Australia, have recommenced following the temporary suspension of field activity on 21 February 2011 due to adverse weather conditions and regional flooding.
The recommenced diamond drilling is initially focused at the high priority Homer Prospect, located immediately along strike from Sandfire Resources’ DeGrussa high grade deposits.
An RC drill rig is currently scheduled to commence reconnaissance and targeted drilling at Springfield on or around 20 March 2011 with an initial focus at the Monty Prospect .
Additionally, other field exploration activities due to commence shortly at Springfield include a detailed gravity survey and a surface EM survey across the Northern and Central Corridors.
