Write-off of the investment in Qualilife AG

Baar, August 24 2012 -Due to a cumulation of negative effects Qualilife AG
got into an over-indebtedness and had to deal with a severe liquidity
crisis. The Board of Directors of Qualilife AG decided to file for
insolvency.

A big customer project that was planned to be implemented in 2012 and had a
high probability of being awarded to Qualilife AG was delayed. In addition
warranted payments out of a research-program from the EU that were due in
2012 were, for the biggest part, delayed into 2013. In this situation an
intended financing round with new investors couldn't be realized.

On this basis, New Value AG has to write off the whole investment in
Qualilife AG.
The write-off amounts to CHF 3,2 Mio.
