Item 2.02 Results of Operations and Financial Condition

On May 10, 2016, Talen Energy Corporation (“Talen Energy”) issued a press release announcing its financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 and other business matters. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 .

As set forth in the press release, Talen Energy management will discuss these results during a conference call and webcast on May 10, 2016 beginning at 8:00 a.m. Eastern time. The webcast, in audio format with slides of the presentation, will be accessible on the Investors & Media section of Talen Energy’s website (www.talenenergy.com). A replay will be available on the website for those who are unable to listen live.
