Appointment of Non-Executive Director to the Board

SysGroup PLC (SYS.L), the managed IT services and cloud hosting provider, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Fletcher as Non-Executive Director to the board with immediate effect.   

Mike has extensive public markets experience and is currently Non-Executive Chairman of AIM listed Inspired Energy PLC (INSE.L), which he helped to successfully bring to market in November 2011.

Mike is the Managing Partner of Praetura Capital LLP, a specialist venture and advisory business and sits on the board of several privately owned growth companies including Sorted Group, Peak AI, Starcount, Aberla Services, EC3 Brokers and Praetura Asset Finance. 

Previously, Mike was a managing director for European investment bank GCA Altium where he gained 10 years' experience in M&A and corporate finance. He has advised a range of clients from public companies, private equity houses and entrepreneurs. Mike is a chartered accountant, qualifying with PwC in 1999, and is both FCA and SRA approved.

On 10 August 2017, Fairpoint Group PLC, of which Mike Fletcher was a Non-Executive Director, was placed into administration. In the administrator's report, dated 5 October 2017, it is anticipated that Fairpoint Group PLC shall exit administration by dissolution.

Mike Fletcher has confirmed that there is no other additional information to be disclosed under Schedule 2 (g) of the AIM Rules
