Aabenraa, 2013-08-09 10:00 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Board of Directors of Sydbank has appointed Bjarne Larsen as new Group Executive Management member effective as of 1 September. Bjarne Larsen will replace Preben L. Hansen, Deputy Group Chief Executive, who will retire from the Group Executive Management at the end of October. Consequently Sydbank's Group Executive Management will consist of Karen Froesig, CEO, Jan Svarre, Deputy Group Chief Executive, and Bjarne Larsen, Deputy Group Chief Executive.
Bjarne Larsen, who holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration as well as a Graduate Diploma in Accounting, is 49 years old and has been employed with Sydbank for 24 years. Since 2010 Bjarne Larsen has held the position of Group Executive Vice President of Sydbank's Corporate Banking & Finance. He will continue in this position until a replacement has been found. Bjarne Larsen's main area of responsibility in the Group Executive Management will be the Bank's risk management.
