Aabenraa, Denmark, 2013-06-18 12:39 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Preben L. Hansen, Deputy Group Chief Executive, has informed Sydbank's Board of Directors that he wishes to retire at the end of October 2013. Preben L. Hansen, who will reach the age of 64 in January, has been an employee of Sydbank for 45 years, the last 21 years as a member of the Bank's Group Executive Management.

After the departure of Preben L. Hansen, Sydbank's Group Executive Management will consist of Karen Froesig, CEO, and Jan Svarre, Deputy Group Chief Executive.

Risk management has constituted Preben L. Hansen's main responsibility in the Group Executive Management. The Board of Directors has started the process of finding a successor to Preben L. Hansen. It is expected that this process will have been completed before the departure of Preben L. Hansen.
