Pål Bergström new Head of business area Large Corporates & Institutions
Swedbank has recruited Pål Bergström as the new Head of business area Large
Corporates & Institutions. He will take up the position on August 18 at the
latest and will become a member of the Group Executive Committee.
Pål Bergström has extensive experience from the banking industry and has held
several leading positions at Handelsbanken, most recently as Head of Markets.

experience will be decisive to bring Large Corporates & Institutions to the next
level in accordance with the bank's strategic direction," says Jens Henriksson,
President and CEO of Swedbank.
Pål Bergström has previously worked in different roles at the Swedish Ministry
of Finance, such as Director-General, Head of the Financial Markets Department,
credit risk management advisor at EKN and as Deputy Chief Economist at the
Swedish National Debt Office.

Large Corporates & Institutions.
Pål Bergström holds a PhD in Economics from Uppsala University and has also
studied languages and music. He will take up his position at Swedbank on August
18 at the latest.
