Swedbank's Chief Compliance Officer retires

Ingrid Harbo, Chief Compliance Officer at Swedbank, who is a member of the Group

Executive Committee since 2019, has decided to retire. Harbo will leave Swedbank

on March 31, 2022 and the process to recruit a successor will now be initiated.

Ingrid Harbo has played an important role in the bank's work to remedy the

shortcomings that among other things were detected in connection to the AML

-crisis. During Ingrid Harbo's management the Compliance-function has realized

substantial changes aiming at proactively strengthening the bank's compliance.

"Ingrid Harbo has with her competence, experience and integrity strongly

contributed to our ability to close several historical issues, in line with the

closure of several authorities´ investigations. I would like to express my

gratitude for her efforts and wish her all the best in the new phase of life,"

says Jens Henriksson, President and CEO of Swedbank.

Ingrid Harbo remains in her role until March 31, 2022. The process to recruit a

successor will now be initiated.

"I'm happy and proud that we have taken substantial steps in the transformation

of the Compliance-function and that Swedbank gradually continues to strengthen

its controls and processes," says Ingrid Harbo.
