Ad hoc-Service: SW Umwelttechnik english

Ad hoc announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer has the sole responsibility of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– New facility for infrastructural products in Budapest Takeover of Stadlbauer Umwelttechnik Central and Eastern European wastewater treatment specialists SW Umwelttechnik are increasing their stake in Stadlbauer Umwelttechnik GmbH from 51% to 100%. The shares are being acquired from building suppliers Baubedarfszentrum Stadlbauer AG for an undisclosed purchase price. Stadlbauer Umwelttechnik is among Austria’s top three producers of concrete and reinforced concrete pipes and shafts. This takeover paves the way for full integration of the subsidiary, and is expected to result in more effective exploitation of the synergies between it and the other companies of the SW Umwelttechnik Group. Savings can be expected both in marketing and distribution and through optimized use of production capacities. With its subsidiaries Strong & Mibet und Rocla Hungaria, SW Umwelttechnik is already market leader in concrete and reinforced concrete pipes shafts in Hungary. Further expansion in Hungary – new production facility in Budapest Last year’s satisfactory developments in the Hungarian market have prompted SW Umwelttechnik to set up a new production facility for infrastructural products on a 15-hectare site just south of Budapest. The facility is expected to cost some EUR 4 million and to go into production before the end of 2001. SW Umwelttechnik currently enjoys market leadership in infrastructural products in Eastern Hungary. With the new site, it is aiming to extend its leadership to Central Hungary as well.
