TRADING HALT

The securities of Black Ridge Mining NL (the “Company”) will be placed in Trading Halt Session State at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in Trading Halt Session State until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Monday, 5 March 2012 or when the announcement is released to the market.

REQUEST FOR TRADING HALT

In accordance with ASX Listing Rule 17.1, Black Ridge Mining NL (ASX: BRD; Black Ridge) requests a trading halt in its securities listed on ASX, with effect from commencement of normal trading on Thursday, 1 March 2012.

In accordance with Listing Rule 17.1, Black Ridge provides the following information:

  • 1 Black Ridge is requesting a trading halt of its securities prior to the opening of the market on Thursday, 1 March 2012, pending release of an announcement to the market in respect of a Heads of Agreement on a project opportunity;

  • 2 Black Ridge requests that the trading halt be lifted on the earlier of the release of an announcement to the market or on the commencement of normal trading on Monday, 5 March 2012, unless Black Ridge advises otherwise;

  • 3 Black Ridge is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.
