ENSI-MED TRANSACTION UPDATE

Further to the announcement to the market of the 16th December 2003 the Board of GBL has resolved not to proceed with the acquisition of the issued capital of ENSI-MED Manufacturing Pty Ltd.

The Board of GBL has reached this decision after having failed to reach agreement on a number of conditions precedent associated with the proposed transaction.

The Board of GBL wishes to thank the principals of ENSI-MED particularly for the assistance provided in the reviewing of the opportunity, and wishes them well in the further development of their business. GBL will continue to monitor the progress of the Company over the coming months with interest.
