Unaly Hill Vanadium Project Drilling Update

Highlights:

  • A total of 1250 metres for 10 RC holes completed at Unaly Hill (EL57/1068)

  • All drill holes intersected vandiferous magnetite

  • Six traverses completed north of previous drilling

  • Drilling shows mineralisation is open for several km along strike

  • Samples currently at ALS Global laboratory in Perth

  • Assays results to follow

Surefire Resources NL (ASX: SRN, "the Company" or SRN") is pleased to announce the completion of the first phase of a new RC drilling program at its Unaly Hill vanadium project near Sandstone. The RC drilling programme follows the diamond drill hole completed by the Company in July and was designed to test additional magnetic anomalies identified along strike (north) of the Company’s previous drilling programme that delineated a substantial vanadium resource as previously announced. All the drill holes intersected the target mineralisation as planned and will provide additional information for the mineral resource within the licence area.

Drilling Update at Unaly Hill

A further drilling program has been completed at the Company’s Unaly Hill Vanadium Project near Sandstone, in the Murchison Region of WA.

A total of 10 reverse circulation (RC) drill holes were completed along six traverses for an aggregate of 1,258m. The holes ranged in down-hole depth from 100m to 200m.

The drilling was based on detailed 2D forward modeling of high resolution airborne magnetic data carried out by Southern Geoscience Consultants Pty Ltd (SGC) who were tasked with targeting extensions of the vanadium-titanium-magnetite mineralisation hosted within the Atley Layered Mafic Intrusion. All the drill holes intersected a number of vanadiferous magnetite bands of varying down-hole width. Intersections of vanadiferous magnetite were evident from geological logs and magnetic susceptibility measurements.

The drilling shows that, in accordance with the aeromagnetic data, the mineralisation at Unaly Hill remains open for a considerable distance along strike from the previous drilling.

All RC samples have been retrieved from site and are currently at the ALS laboratory in Perth awaiting analysis.

Assays results will be announced as soon as the Company receives the information.
