TRADING HALT
The securities of Black Ridge Mining NL (the "Company") will be placed in pre-open at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in pre-open until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Thursday, 14 October 2010 or when the announcement is released to the market.

REQUEST FOR TRADING HALT
In accordance with ASX Listing Rule 17.1, Black Ridge Mining NL (BRD) requests a trading halt in BRD's securities listed on ASX, with effect from commencement of normal trading on 12 October 2010.
In accordance with Listing Rule 17.1, BRD provides the following information:
- BRD is requesting a trading halt pending release of an announcement in 1 respect of a placement:
- $\overline{2}$ BRD requests that the trading halt continues from commencement of normal trading on Tuesday 12 October 2010 until commencement of normal trading on Thursday 14 October 2010, unless BRD advises otherwise;
- 3 BRD is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.
