URGENT REMINDER

RIGHTS ISSUE CLOSING DATE THURSDAY 22 MARCH 2012

Avalon Minerals Ltd (ASX: AVI ; “Avalon”) advises that its fully underwritten, non renounceable, pro rata Rights Issue is due to close on THURSDAY 22 MARCH 2012 at 5pm (WST).

On the Entitlement and Acceptance Form despatched to all eligible shareholders, the correct closing date of 22 March 2012 appeared, however due to a printing error the incorrect day was named.

Shareholders wishing to participate in the Rights Issue are reminded to lodge their application, together with payment, by the closing date of 5pm (WST), THURSDAY 22 March 2012, (3pm WST, 22 March 2012 if paying by BPay).

Avalon wishes to thank those shareholders who have already lodged their applications for their continued support.

The remaining timetable for the Rights Issue is as follows:
