Avalon Minerals Limited (ASX: AVI) ("Avalon" or "Company")

Avalon advises that it has received a notice under section 249D of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) purporting to be from a number of shareholders who collectively hold more than 5% of the votes that may be cast at a general meeting of the Company .

The notice requests that the Company convene a meeting of shareholders to consider:

• resolutions to remove all current directors of the Company; and

• resolutions to appoint Mr Noel O’Brien, Mr Philip Warren and Mr Simon Chesson for election as directors of the Company.

Avalon believes the notice is defective and will be advising the purported requisitionists of this belief.

The Directors remain mindful of their legal obligations and will keep all shareholders informed of any updates.
