Avalon Minerals Limited (ASX: AVI) ("Avalon" or "Company")

Section 249N and Section 203D Notices Received

Avalon advises that it has received two separate notices under sections 203D and 249N of the Corporations Act from a number of shareholders who collectively appear to hold more than 5% of the votes that may be cast at a general meeting of the Company.

The notice issued pursuant to section 249N of the Corporations Act requests to move an ordinary resolution at the Company's next general meeting 2 months after the date of the notice (24 October 2013) that Mr Noel Mark O’Brien be appointed as a director of the Company.

The notice issued pursuant to section 203D of the Corporations Act seeks the removal of the following directors by ordinary resolution at the Company's next general meeting:

• Crispin Henderson;

• Dato Siew Mun Chuang;

• Siew Mun Wai; and

• Seng Han Goh.

This may occur at the Company's upcoming Annual General Meeting.

The Board is considering the validity of the notices received. The Directors remain mindful of their legal obligations and will keep all shareholders informed of any updates.
