APPOINTMENT OF CFO & COMPANY SECRETARY

Mining Executive Brett Dickson joins Avalon team

Avalon Minerals Ltd (ASX: AVI ; “Avalon”) is pleased to announce the appointment of mining executive Brett Dickson to the position of consultant CFO and Company Secretary effective immediately. Mr Dickson replaces the full time positions held by Mr Paul Bridson who recently tendered his resignation to pursue other opportunities within the resources industry.

Mr Dickson is currently consultant CFO and Company Secretary to Azure Minerals Limited and Rox Resources Limited.

He has over 20 years experience in the resources sector in Australia and overseas both in minerals and oil and gas and has had significant involvement in the start up, listing, restructuring, management and financing of companies active in the mining and exploration industry .

Mr Dickson holds a Bachelor of Business from Curtin University. He is also a Member of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants.

Avalon’s Chairman, Mr David McSweeney, said; “the Board of Avalon welcomes the appointment of Mr Dickson as the new CFO and Company Secretary and wishes Mr Bridson well in his future endeavours and thanks him for his significant contribution to the Company.”
