SECTION 249D REQUISITION FOR THE REMOVAL AND APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTORS

Avalon Minerals Limited ( Company ) advises that on 22 December 2011 it received a requisition from Mr Siew Mun Chuang pursuant to section 249D of the Corporations Act 2001 , requesting that the Company convene a meeting of shareholders to move resolutions to remove Mr David McSweeney, Mr Abu Sahid Bin Mohamed and Mr Amro Fouad Al-Khadra as directors of the Company and to appoint Mr Siew Mun Wai, Mr Rohan Edmondson and Mr Seng Han Gary Goh as directors of the Company.

The Company is seeking advice in relation to the requisition and will keep shareholders informed in due course.
