RESIGNATION OF DIRECTOR

The Board of Directors (the “ Board ”) of Sunshine Oilsands Ltd. (the “ Corporation ”) (HKEX: 2012) wishes to announce that Mr. Hong Luo (“Mr. Luo ”) has tendered his resignation as a non-executive Director of the Corporation due to his personal reason and other commitments which require more of his dedication, effective from June 3, 2019 (the “ Resignation ”).

Mr. Luo has confirmed that he has no disagreement with the Board and there are no matters that need to be brought to the attention of the shareholders of the Corporation in connection with the Resignation.

The Board would like to express its gratitude to Mr. Luo for his valuable contribution to the Corporation during his tenure of office.
