இலங்கையில் தற்போது நிலவி கடும் பொருளாதார வரும் நெருக்கடி மற்றும் உணவு பொருள் தட்டுப்பாட்டில் சிக்கித்தவித்து வரும் இலங்கை மக்களுக்கு அத்தியாவசிய பொருட்கள் தமிழக மக்களின் சார்பில் வழங்கப்படும் என்று முதலமைச்சர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் அறிவித்தார்.

அப்பொருட்களை தொடர்ந்து, வழங்க உரிய அனுமதி வழங்குமாறு கடந்த மார்ச் மாதம் 31ந் தேதி .
டெல்லி சென்று பிரதமர் அன்று நரேந்திர மோடியை சந்தித்து வலி யுறுத்தினார்.

மத்திய அரசின் வெளியுறவுத்துறை ஜெயசங்கரை அமைச்சர் தொலைபேசியில் தொடர்பு கொண்டு இதுதெடர்பாக கோரிக்கை வைக்கப்பட்டதுடன் கடந்த மாதம் 15ந் தேதி கடிதமும் எழுதி நினைவூட்டினார்.

அத்துடன், தமிழக அரசு சார்பில் மக்களுக்கு வெங்கை உதவும் ...
வகையில் 40 ஆயிரம் டன் அரிசி, உயிர் காக்கக்கூடிய மருந்து பொருட்கள், குழந்தைகளுக்கு வழங்க 500 டன் பால் பவுடர் ஆகிய அத்தியாவசிய பொருட்களை அனுப்ப மத்திய அரசின் அனுமதி கோரியதுடன், கடந்த மாதம் 29ந் தேதி சட்டசபையிலும் தனி தீர்மானம் நிறைவேற்றப்பட்டது. சட்டசபை தீர்மானத்தில்

யிட்டார். பார்வை தொடர்ந்து கப்பல் நிறுத்தும் இடம் அருகில் போடப்பட்டிருந்த மேடையில் இலங்கைக்கு இருந்து, அனுப்பி அத்தியாவசிய வைக்கப்படும் மாதிரி தொகுப்பை பொருட்களின் முதலமைச்சர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின், துணைத்தூதர் இலங்கை டி.வெங்கடேசுவரனிடம் வழங்கினார். பின்னர் கொடியசைத்து தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.

ரு.45 கோடி பொருட்கள்

முதல்கட்டமாக 9 ஆயிரம் டன் அரிசி, 200 டன் ஆவின் பால்பவுடர் 24 டன் அத்தியாவசிய மற்றும் மருந்து பொருட்கள் அனுப்பி வைக்கப்பட்டது.

இதனுடைய மதிப்பு ரூ.45 கோடி ஆகும்.
