On October 1st, 2013, BlackRock Financial Management, Inc., New York, NY,
U.S.A. has informed us according to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG that
via shares its Voting Rights on Südzucker AG Mannheim/Ochsenfurt, Mannheim,
Deutschland, have exceeded the 3% threshold of the Voting Rights on
September 30, 2013 and on that day amounted to 3.01% (this corresponds to
6,154,795 Voting Rights).

According to Article 22, Section 1, Sentence 1, No. 6 in connection with
sentence 2 of the WpHG, 3.01% of the Voting Rights (this corresponds to
6,154,795 Voting Rights) is to be attributed to the company.

On October 1st, 2013, BlackRock Holdco 2, Inc., Wilmington, DE, U.S.A. has
informed us according to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG that via shares
its Voting Rights on Südzucker AG Mannheim/Ochsenfurt, Mannheim,
Deutschland, have exceeded the 3% threshold of the Voting Rights on
September 30, 2013 and on that day amounted to 3.01% (this corresponds to
6,154,795 Voting Rights).

According to Article 22, Section 1, Sentence 1, No. 6 in connection with
sentence 2 of the WpHG, 3.01% of the Voting Rights (this corresponds to
6,154,795 Voting Rights) is to be attributed to the company.
