The following was notified to Südzucker Aktiengesellschaft
Mannheim/Ochsenfurt according to Article 21 Section 1 of the WpHG [the
German Securities Trading Act] on 27 November 2012:

Deutsche Bank AG, Frankfurt, Germany, notified according to Article 21
Section 1 of the WpHG, that its share of voting rights in Südzucker
Aktiengesellschaft Mannheim/Ochsenfurt, Theodor-Heuss-Anlage 12, 68165
Mannheim increased above the 3 % and 5 % voting rights threshold on 22
November 2012 and amounted to 8.04 % that day. This corresponded to
16,396,834 no par value ordinary bearer shares.

At the same time Deutsche Bank AG, Frankfurt, Germany, notified according
to Article 21 Section 1 of the WpHG, that Deutsche Bank AG decreased below
the thresholds of 5 % and 3 % of voting rights in Südzucker
Aktiengesellschaft Mannheim/Ochsenfurt on 26 November 2012 and is now
holding a share of voting rights amounting to 0.00 % (this corresponds to
zero voting rights).

The obligation to notify according to Article 21 Section 1 of the WpHG
results from Deutsche Bank AG, Frankfurt, acting as a book runner for the
capital increase of Südzucker Aktiengesellschaft Mannheim/Ochsenfurt,
entered into the commercial register on 22. November 2012.
