Studsvik signs contract in China worth 900 kUSD
Studsvik has through its subsidiary Studsvik Scandpower signed an agreement with the Chinese institute CIAE (China Institute of Atomic Energy) on software sales for a value around USD 900,000. The sale is Studsvik's first major sale in the fast growing Chinese Market, where appr. 65 reactors are anticipated to be built the coming 20 years.
"It is very encouraging that Studsvik now is breaking in to the fast growing and strategically important Chinese market. Through this agreement we establish a platform for growth in China, for both software as well as material technology", says Thomas Smed, President of Studsvik Scandpower.
CIAE is CNNC:s (China National Nuclear Corporation) main research organization and one of Chinas largest actors in the Nuclear field with over 3,000 employees.
