Studsvik signs Memorandum of Understanding to transfer transport logistics to R&R Trucking

Studsvik signed a Memorandum of Understanding to transfer itsU.S. logistics operations to R&R Trucking in an agreement that broadens Studsvik's access to first class transportation services for its waste customers.

R&R Trucking will manage and operate Studsvik's vehicle fleet that is designed for the transportation of radioactive materials. Under the agreement, R&R Trucking also assumes the leases on Studsvik's 20 vehicles.

The deal positions R&R Trucking as the largest provider of nuclear logistics in the USA. By coordinating the transport operations of both companies, R&R Trucking will be able to achieve a higher efficiency in the combined fleet and to provide augmented services to Studsvik customers.

"This agreement allows Studsvik to continue providing our customers with first class, cost efficient logistic services to support our core business in waste treatment and management," says Magnus Groth, President and CEO of Studsvik Group.

"This is a text book example of a "Strategic Alliance", we could not be more thrilled", says Jeff Herr, President and CEO of R&R Trucking.
