Off-market takeover bids by Strike Energy Limited for UIL Energy Limited – notice that bidder's statement sent

We act for Strike Energy Limited ACN 078 012 745 ( Strike ).

Strike has today completed the despatch of the bidder's statement in respect of its off-market takeover bids for all of the ordinary shares and convertible preference shares in UIL Energy Limited ( Bidder's Statement ).

The date of the offers is 25 October 2018. The offer will close at 7.00 pm (Sydney time) on 30 November 2018 unless extended or withdrawn in accordance with the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) ( Corporations Act ).

Attached to this announcement is a notice in accordance with item 8 of section 633(1) of the Corporations Act that the Bidder's Statement has been sent.

NOTICE THAT BIDDER'S STATEMENT AND OFFERS HAVE BEEN SENT

To: UIL Energy Limited ASX Limited Australian Securities and Investments Commission

Strike Energy Limited ACN 078 012 745 ( Strike ) gives notice in accordance with items 7 to 9 of section 633(1) of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) ( Corporations Act ) that the bidder's statement dated 24 October 2018, in respect of its off-market takeover bids for all of the ordinary shares and convertible preference shares in UIL Energy Limited ( Bidder's Statement ), has been sent as required by item 6 of section 633(1) of the Corporations Act to each person who held securities in the bid class, as at 23 October 2018 (being the date set by Strike in accordance with section 633(2) of the Corporations Act).

The Bidder's Statement contains the terms of Strike's offer. The date of the offers is 25 October 2018.
