Cloudzen Showcases Game Streaming Technology on Singtel's 5G Network Cloudzen successfully completes pilot showcase at Singtel, Ericsson & Singapore Polytechnic's 5G Garage in Singapore

Emerge Gaming (ASX:EM1) is pleased to announce that its exclusive Technology Partner Cloudzen Pte Ltd (Cloudzen) recently showcased its innovative GameCloud streaming technology at 5G Garage, Singapore's only live 5G facility opened by Singtel, Ericsson and Singapore Polytechnic. The 5G Garage is connected to Singtel's latest pilot 5G network located at Ayer Rajah. It aims to serve as a training centre, test bed and ideation lab to develop Singapore's 5G ecosystem and drive the adoption of 5G by enterprises in their digital transformations.

Cloudzen's technology innovation showcase was a success, enabling a seamless, lag-free and high-quality game streaming experience, which affirms the robustness and capability of Cloudzen's technology. It also reflects the potential of 5G to transform the eSports and gaming world in mobile environments, with hardware and heavy downloads becoming a thing of the past. The demonstration was enhanced with 5G connectivity running on Singtel's network.

According to the latest Ericsson Mobility Report, 5G is slated to be the fastest generation of cellular technology to be rolled out on a global scale. With ultra-fast connectivity speeds and low latency rates, 5G is set to transform industries such as transportation, logistics, healthcare and manufacturing, and enable a future of smart cities, autonomous vehicles and Artificial Intelligence.

Historically the GameCloud technology with its compression algorithm has demonstrated its capabilities to work across a multitude of 3G and 4G network environments. Together with Singtel and its pilot roll out of its 5G network, the GameCloud technology is now place to host its services across the 5G network spectrum globally.

The significance of the pilot is that it is a true validation of in-game cloud capability as a cloud game streaming technology and how that now empowers the partnership between Emerge Gaming and Cloudzen. The technology can disrupt the gaming and eSports markets globally while having first mover advantage in foreign markets.

GameCloud allows users access on all devices, including mobile phones and smart TV, and is accessible on 4G. There is an inflection point coming where gaming content will not be distributed through traditional means, mitigating the need to buy expensive hardware or having to incur strenuous downloads of AAA quality games. Furthermore, all online eSports technology will be played in a game through Cloudzen technology as compared to the 1st generation third party tournament platforms relying on publisher integration. Emerge Gaming will significantly benefit from being a part of this global shift in gaming.

With this successful demonstration now completed, GameCloud is set for global expansion into three identified markets in 2019 - Cloud Gaming, 5G Gaming & eSports.

Greg Stevens, CEO of Emerge Gaming said, "The significance of this demonstration is that it reveals the potential of cloud gaming through digital transformation. Emerge Gaming is now on the forefront of the future of gaming/eSports and how gaming content will now be distributed."

Robin Tan, CEO of Cloudzen added, "We are very excited by the partnership with Emerge Gaming and the regions they can unlock for us, specifically, regions that are rolling out 5G. This demonstration is a testament to what we have worked so hard to achieve."
