ANNOUNCEMENT

The Board of Directors (the “Board”) of AEON Credit Service (Asia) Company Limited (the “Company”) announces with deepest regret the passing away of Dr. Shao You Bao, an independent non-executive director of the Company, on 12th March 2006.

The Board would like to extend its deepest sympathy and condolences to the family of the late Dr. Shao and express its gratitude for Dr. Shao’s valuable contribution to the Company during his term of office.
