Straumann Group supports humanitarian relief efforts in Ukraine

Basel, March 3, 2022 – The scenes in Ukraine are extremely shocking and distressing, and it scarcely seems possible in our modern world that we could see such violence. Straumann Group strongly condemns the invasion of and violence towards Ukraine which also poses a wider threat for the global community that advocates democracy and freedom.

As an immediate response, Straumann Group decided to donate CHF 100 000 to the International Committee of the Red Cross organizations to support humanitarian relief efforts.

Straumann Group believes actions must be taken and therefore supports the sanctions and is complying with the applicable laws and regulations, including all restrictions. As they evolve, the Group will react quickly to implement them accordingly.

While the Group does not have any direct employees in Ukraine, Straumann is in regular contact with its distributor in the country, and remains in contact with different stakeholders to understand how further support can be provided.

The Group is convinced that people who strive for the common good and who do the right things in the spirit of humanity, progress and peace will ultimately prevail.

Straumann Group hopes for an end to this invasion in the shortest time possible.
