Annual General Meeting of STRATEC approves increased dividend

Birkenfeld, May 21, 2010

The Annual General Meeting of STRATEC Biomedical Systems AG held on Friday,
May 21, 2010, approved all of the agenda items presented for voting with
significant majorities in each case.

STRATEC will be distributing a dividend of Euro 0.45 per share (previous
year: Euro 0.35) to its shareholders for the 2009 financial year. The
distribution per share is thus 30% higher than in the previous year. The
dividend will be paid via shareholders' deposit-holding banks from May 25,
2010.

Furthermore, the Annual General Meeting authorized the Board of Management
to acquire and dispose of treasury stock and to amend the Articles of
Association to account for the implementation of the Shareholders' Rights
Directive (ARUG).
