Stockmann Group's sales in November 2015

Helsinki, Finland, 2015-12-11 12:15 CET (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- STOCKMANN plc, Company Announcement 11.12.2015 at 13:15 EET The Stockmann Group's sales amounted to EUR 118.0 million in November 2015. Stockmann has during the year divested Seppälä and the Academic Bookstore and withdrawn from own electronics offering in its department stores. Sales, excluding Seppälä and books and electronics in the department stores, were down by 0.8 per cent at comparable exchange rates. Due to the weak Russian rouble, euro-denominated sales excluding Seppälä, books and electronics were down by 3.0 per cent. November had one sales day more than in the previous year in Finland due to the timing of All Saints' Day. Stockmann Retail Stockmann Retail's sales, excluding books and electronics in the department stores, were down by 5.2 per cent at comparable exchange rates. Due to the weak Russian rouble, euro-denominated sales, excluding books and electronics, were down by 8.5 per cent. In Finland, department stores’ sales excluding books and electronics were up 1.3 per cent. Sales grew particularly well in the fashion product area. Sales including all product areas and Hobby Hall were down by 14.0 per cent. In international operations sales were down by 8.7 per cent at comparable exchange rates. Due to the weak Russian rouble, euro-denominated sales were down by 19.2 per cent. Lindex Lindex's sales were up 7.8 per cent at comparable exchange rates. Sales increased particularly well in the biggest market, Sweden. Euro-denominated sales were up 5.3 per cent. The Group's sales figures include merchandise sales exclusive VAT in Stockmann Retail's and Fashion Chains' stores.
