Stockmann Group's revenue in May 2013

Helsinki, Finland, 2013-06-13 10:30 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- STOCKMANN plc, Company Announcement 13.6.2013 at 11:30 EET The Stockmann Group's revenue amounted to EUR 167.8 million in May 2013. Revenue, excluding the terminated franchising operations in Russia and Finland, was up 3.9 per cent. The Department Store Division's revenue, excluding the terminated franchising operations, was up 4.7 per cent. In Finland revenue grew by 3.3 per cent despite various construction works affecting Itäkeskus, Tampere and Tapiola department stores. Euro-denominated revenue in international operations was up 8.0 per cent with good performance in the Baltic countries and in particular in Russia. Fashion Chain Division's revenue was up 3.2 per cent; down 3.6 per cent in Finland and up 5.0 per cent in international operations. Lindex's euro-denominated revenue was up 6.1 per cent, partly due to the strengthened Swedish krona. Revenue in local currencies was up 4.6 per cent. The spring collections were well-received and resulted in revenue growth in all countries. Seppälä's revenue was down 10.3 per cent. Revenue continued to decline in all countries.
