STOCKLAND ANNOUNCES EXECUTIVE APPOINTMENTS
Stockland Managing Director and CEO Mark Steinert today announced the appointment of two new executives to the Stockland Executive Committee.
The positions of Chief Investment Officer, and Group Counsel and Company Secretary, have been elevated to the executive team, reflecting the importance of these two key functions.
Darren Rehn has been appointed Group Executive and Chief Investment Officer with responsibility for capital transactions, capital partnering and business development activities.
Mr Rehn joined Stockland as Chief Investment Officer in October 2013. Mr Rehn has over 30 years’ experience in a broad range of real estate activities, including valuation, research, funds management, advisory and transactions. Mr Rehn commences his new role today.
Katherine Grace has been appointed Group Counsel and Company Secretary and will join the Group on 21 August 2014.
Ms Grace has over 15 years’ experience including several years as General Counsel and Company Secretary, most recently at Westfield Retail Trust. She has a strong background in all aspects of the function including corporate, property, debt and capital markets transactions.
Phillip Hepburn, who has served as Stockland Group Counsel and Company Secretary since 2001, will be leaving Stockland.
Mr Steinert said: “On behalf of the Board and executive committee I would like to thank Phillip for his 13 years of service. Over this time he has made a valuable contribution to the Group and we wish him all the best for the future.
“I am very pleased to welcome Darren and Katherine to their new roles,” Mr Steinert said.
“Appointing the leaders of these important functions onto the executive committee will further enhance our rigorous approach to decision-making and the disciplined execution of our strategy.
“Both Katherine and Darren bring strong track records in their respective fields and I am confident they will be valued additions to our strong executive team.”
Stockland’s Executive Committee will now comprise Mr Steinert and the following executives:

Biographies
Darren Rehn
Mr Rehn has over 30 years’ experience in the property sector. He commenced at JLL undertaking real estate research and valuations, before moving to SGIC working in property funds management and equity investments.
Prior to Stockland, Mr Rehn spent 16 years in investment banking, leading the Australian Real Estate Groups at UBS and Merrill Lynch. Mr Rehn has extensive experience advising boards and senior management on business development, acquisitions and divestments, and major transactions.
Katherine Grace
Ms Grace has over 15 years’ legal experience specialising in the property sector. Most recently Ms Grace was General Counsel and Company Secretary for Westfield Retail Trust. She has extensive experience in corporate, property, debt and capital markets transactions.
Prior to this role Ms Grace was General Counsel and Company Secretary at Valad Property Group. She has previously held positions in legal private practice (where she acted for a variety of corporations and financial institutions in relation to landmark developments across Australia and overseas) and at Multiplex Limited and Pacific Capital Partners.
