Resignation of non-executive director
Melbourne, Australia; 29 July 2021: Starpharma (ASX: SPL, OTCQX: SPHRY) today advises that Mr Peter Turvey has resigned, as a non-executive Director of Starpharma Holdings Limited, due to ill health.
On behalf of the Board, Starpharma's Chairman, Mr Rob Thomas AO, extends his gratitude to Mr Turvey for his exceptional contribution to the company during a period of significant growth.
Mr Thomas said "Peter is a highly respected and regarded member of the biopharmaceutical industry and has made an exceptional contribution to the company during his tenure. Starpharma has benefited greatly from his deep knowledge of the industry and commercialisation of innovative products, as well as his wise counsel and pragmatic approach. My colleagues and I are extremely grateful for Peter's invaluable service and friendship."
Mr Turvey had served on the Board of Starpharma for the past nine years, and had ably served as Deputy Chairman, and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee.
The Board advises Mr David McIntyre, will act as interim Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee, and as announced yesterday Ms Lynda Cheng will join the Audit and Risk Committee upon her appointment on 1 August 2021.
